Jenna Slaughter

Speaker - Educator - Mental Health Advocate

Engaging and Inspirational

Jenna Slaughter is an inspirational speaker and Self-Love Coach helping perfectionists and people pleasers get out of cycles of self-sabotage, gain momentum and take off.

Growing up in a small rural town, Jenna was “in the closet” until college when their bisexuality went from a “minor inconvenience to be managed internally” to a full-blown crisis of self to be managed.

Almost a decade of healing later, they’ve turned into a human behavior and happiness nerd.

Thoughtfully and delicately they weave stories of grief, mental illness, and radical self acceptance to inspire and empower every audience to take inspired action and make the most of each day they have on this weird spinning rock.

Gatekeeping in the lgbtq+ community

In today’s episode, we talk about gatekeeping in the LGBTQ+ community. Within this topic we discuss what LGBTQ+ gatekeeping is, including distinguishing between good and bad gatekeeping. Predominantly, we aim to challenge thinking around the idea that there’s one way to be and open our minds to the idea that there should be no caveats on identity and belonging.

Each person’s identity within the LGBTQ+ community is perfectly valid, and we need to start challenging those who attempt to devalue folk for not being ‘queer’ enough.

Join us on this journey as we dismantle marginalising structures and foster a world of growth, fluidity and acceptance of all identities

Pansexuality 101 with Jenna Slaughter

In this episode, Jenna and I debunk some myths and stereotypes about pansexuality:

Pansexual is the same as bisexual

Pansexuals fancy everyone

Pansexuals just need to ‘pick a side’

‘Only pansexuals are attracted to non-binary people’

Pansexual = panromantic

Pansexual folk just want a threesome / pansexual people are also polyamorous

Pansexuality is a trend

Unpacking trauma, creating energetic boundaries, and embracing fluidity

We talk about my coming out journey and why its a-okay to change labels as you know and understand more.
